Your guests are not alone in appreciating a relaxed cook. So you can chat with your guests while cooking, we have made our recirculation cooker hoods so quiet you hardly notice them. Generally, a swishing sound is generated by the noise of the motor itself and the air flow, depending on the level of counterpressure. On ducted models, 50 % of the noise is ducted to the outside. Bosch cooker hoods with the CleanAir module generate up to 3 dB(A) less noise than conventional recirculation systems while offering the same performance.

Bosch has the solution: The PerfectAir sensor constantly monitors the air and automatically adapts the power level to the rising vapour and odours – continuously, precisely and independently of power settings. At the same time, it reduces the noise level by activating only the minimally required extraction level. When you’ve finished cooking, the blower continues to run until the kitchen air is cleared of all unpleasant odours. So you can focus all your attention on cooking instead of on controlling your hood.

Operate your hood the way you operate your hob: With the new DirectSelect control, you can set the desired power level and control such functions as the PerfectAir sensor, after-running, and lighting level directly. You can also read the filter saturation display so that you always know when the filter needs cleaning. With DirectSelect, not only can you control your hood with the simple touch of a button but your hood’s appearance perfectly matches that of hobs with DirectSelect control.

Ducted and recirculation hoods require metal grease filters to filter grease and other solid particles out of the extracted air. To keep these filters operating at maximum efficiency, clean them about once a month either by hand or in the dishwasher.

Air should be exchanged 6 to 12 times an hour to ensure a consistently pleasant ambience. To do so, the air delivery volume or power of the cooker hood must be appropriate to the room volume.
